Recall of Fromagerie Donge Brie de Meaux due to possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has announced that as a precautionary measure, Sheridan’s Cheesemongers is recalling a batch of Fromagerie Donge Brie de Meaux, due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes – the bacterium that causes the infection listeriosis.

Fromagerie Donge Brie de Meaux; Approval Number: FR 55.518.001 CE

Batch:

RG0805M; best before date: 24/07/2014

According to the FSAI, the affected cheese was supplied to a small number of speciality stores in Ireland.

Point of sale notices are being displayed in stores advising consumers not to eat the implicated batch.
